Family Tree.

15 years ago KC Guthrie gave up his son, leaving a big hole in his heart. Now 31 back at Degrassi as a new coach he has a chance to make it right. Will he? Will he finally be someone his son can look up to? Or will he chicken out?

KC Guthrie locked his car door and headed towards Degrassi. 12 years since he said goodbye to the halls of his high school. 12 years and he smiled and realized nothing changed. The building looked the same, the parking lot looked the same, and yet it was different. His last moments here were spent as a student. Now he was a coach. He used to be a cocky kid, now he had to keep the cocky kids in line. KC took a deep breathe and headed towards the steps, only to see a women who dropped her books.

"Oh here, let me help you." He said handing them to her but was taken back "Clare, Clare Edwards?"

"Yeah who wants to know" She said but looked at him "KC Guthrie? Oh my god! What are you doing here?" She said as she handed her, her books

"I am the new basketball coach, you?"

"Oh I am the English teacher" as they walked into the building

"Wow Ms. Edwards" He said but then realized "Or whatever your last name is now"

"Oh its just Edwards. Nothing fancy about it." She smiled

"Yeah, I hear ya. But we should hang out soon" He said "I just moved back so I don't know who is still around."

"Of course. I can't wait. But look I have to get to my class room, but why don't we have lunch today? Catch up?"
"Sure, I would love that" he smiled

"Arlight good seeing you KC," Clare said disappearing down the hall. KC smiled, at least one familiar face. He began walking to the gym and saw a kid walking past him, more like pushing past him.

"Hey Kid, watch where you're going"

" Whatever man" He said going towards the principal's office. KC felt an eerie sense like he knew the kid. Like he was seeing a ghost. KC just shrugged it off. Its not like he could have known this kid, I mean how would he? KC just stepped out onto the familiar court and smiled. It was home. KC Guthrie felt like he had come home.
