Draco's Midnight Escape
Written by Nigel King
"I don't think that being a wizard is the right job for me Uncle Snape!" Draco said. "Just 'cause evil
wizarding runs in the family doesn't mean I..
have to follow in some one else's footsteps!"
"DRACO!!! don't you take that tone with me young man!" "Grandfather Voldemort would faint dead away if he heard you say that!"
But Draco didn't care....
That night Draco packed all his wizarding things. He was sick of all this learning. All his stuffed was packed and he zapped everything into his pocket size walquarf. A walquarf is a small platinum coloured box with four floating balls around it, those balls were called electos they focused all their energy on keeping the luggage remaining in the size of a pin. It shrunk all of his luggage and makes it as light as it's size, which makes it very easy to carry.
But Draco wasn't leaving Hogwarts without a terrible and awesome plan. That night while even Professor Dumbledor was sleeping, Draco snuck out of his room and into the dark and shadowy hall ways of Hogwarts.
"Please let me get out of here safely....." he whispered to himself. He first entered all the Slytherin rooms, stole everyone's money, brooms, spell books, pens, gold, everything. Perfect for the greedy Draco. He did the same to Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and well you'll find out . Once he reached Gryfindor, his walquarf was very full but still weighing less than a quarter. He went to open the door to Harry Potter's room. One of his worst enemies. "Now, is where the real fun begins..."
Draco first took Harry's hideous owl : Hedwig, and Draco unlocked it's cage and opened the door, opened the giant glass window and out flew Hedwig. But since Hedwig was that type of animal Draco despised : Faithful, loving, caring, trustworthy, he had to let it go.
"Cheerio Snowflake he snickered".
After releasing Hedwig, Draco locked the dark window shut. He then peered out in the Quiditch field when he saw Hedwig flying way up high above. Then zooming past Hedwig was a small, golden object leaving a gold streak behind it. Then the stadium lights blasted on giving off an eye-shattering white light. That gold object was the snitch, it was midnight Quiditch.
"Perfect..." Draco whispered in a dark tone. Now the disoriented Hedwig was lost in the shuffle of flying brooms and balls.
Hedwig was thrusted away by a large boy on a scarlet broom. Right before Hedwig's last call would be heard. Draco was struck with an idea. "This owl must be pretty powerful, to have assisted Harry Potter so.... maybe if it was a more vicious animal, it would be of more use to me.." "Appear." Draco called, as the confused Hedwig lied down on the floor with exhaustion. "You'd love to be new dog wouldn't you? Draco said sarcastically. With a wave of his wand Draco transformed Hedwig into a Roteweiler. First a dark cloud of smoke curled around Hedwig, untill it reached his neck and entered his mouth. Hedwig then turned from a snow white, to an ash coloured gray, to finally, a midnight black. His legs became longer, paws apperead, and his ears filpped out to the side. Hedwig had totally transformed untill he was a pure Roteweiler. "Well, thats alot better!" Draco shouted.
