A/N: Hey everyone! Just a story I have been thinking about it. Well not a story, just a one shot. I think it may be okay. Not exactly how I pictured it but fairly close. Anyway read, review, and enjoy!
When your parents die, it's probably the most life altering event a faces in their life. I know that it was for me.
Mom and Dad were there from day one. My mom always made sure that I had food in my stomach, had clean clothes on my back and stayed out of trouble. She treated my brothers the same as she treated was a truly amazing woman. She could stretch a dollar better than anybody I know.
My Dad made the money for our family. He was the reason that we survived the way that we did. He worked long hours but he always made time for all of us. He always took us to the lot every single saturday to play football. It's something my brothers and I do even today.
They never did anything wrong to anybody and never raised a hand to any of us. And that was how they raised us. Abuse was not the answer to trouble makers.
They taught my so much. It's hard to believe that it's been so long since they died. Even harder to believe that I made it this far without them, without their guidance in my life.
I owe them a world of thanks.
I'm a father to two and an uncle to many. I have made it my mission to pass everything on to the next Curtis generation because they need to know how amazing their grandparents were even if they can't actually meet them.
"Dad! Are you coming? They are going to start the football game without you!"
