Just alittle something about the loss of our favorite twin, the some seemed kind of appropriate. hope you enjoy it, but I know I'm not really good at sad stuff.
AN/ the charaters belong too JKR and the song was sung by Olivia newton John, but I don't know who owns it...but in any case it wasn't me!
The sun was setting against the war torn landscape, as the bodies of the casualties were being moved to the temporary mortuary that was once the Great hall. George had been helping bring in the bodies, when he found himself standing in a corridor staring into a face very much like his own.
His twin, his accomplice, his best friend, lay before him broken and lifeless. Fred was dead. George felt a large hand on his shoulder, and heard Hagrid 's voice.
"George, why don' ya go get some rest, It's a long way down to tha' Great Hall, an you've been through a lot," He turned to face the half' giant, shaking his head.
"No, I'll take him," slowly he picked up his twin's lifeless body, saying to Hagrid as he did, "The road is long with many a winding turn that leads us to who knows where, who knows when. But I'm strong, strong enough to carry him, he ain't heavy, he's my brother...
"So on we go, his welfare is of my concern. No burden is he to bear,we'll get there. For I know he would not encumber me. If I'm laden at all I'm laden with sadness, that everyone's heart isn't filled with the gladness of love for one another.
"It's a long, long road from which there is no return. While we're on the way to there why not share. The load doesn't weigh me down at all. He ain't heavy, he's my brother...he's my brother."
As he walked away, carrying his brother to be with his family for one last time, Hagird saw tears fall on the once smiling face of George Weasley.
