Sasuke-kun's raven hair rustled gently in the wind. He was poised atop the tallest pine tree in the forest, watching the village that his ninja sensei had assigned him to protect. His eyes steadfastly observed it, unblinking- their dedication to their task reflected that of his entire being.
I'll protect this village. I cannot let any innocent people die. Not after what I let happen all those years ago.
Sasuke-kun wavered for a split second as he remembered that horrible incident in his past. It was over in a flash and he was back to his cool and controlled and ever watchful self, but a part of him subconsciously continued remembering, suppling him with the drive to continue his diligence.
His thoughts were, however, promptly interrupted.
"Sasuke-kun! Heehee, you look so serious! What are you doing up there? 3"
It was Sakura-chan! Sasuke-kun nearly blushed, but he used the secret ninja techniques he had been studying to allow full control of his body in order to control his vains and stop the blood from turning his face red. He had to stay cool.
Unfortunately, he was so caught up in not blushing that he lost his balance and fell from the tree.
So much for staying cool, he secretly criticized himself as he fell. Halfway down he used his ninja training to regain his balance and land gracefully, poised like a handsome panther. Sakura-chan rushed to him.
"Oh no! Sasuke-kun, are you ok?" she asked, her irises growing large with worry.
Sasuke-kun brushed himself off casually has he replied, "oh, that? That was on purpose. I was practicing my landing."
Sakura-chan giggled. "Oh! Heehee, of course. You looked very smooth, as usual!"
Sasuke-kun nearly could not control his vains but he did just in time to stop his face from growing bright red.
Sakura-chan paused a bit, and then continued. "E-eto, Sasuke-kun? I came looking for you to ask if you wanted to... go on..."
Sasuke-kun cocked his head in confusion. "To go on what?" he asked.
"A DATE!" She shouted, completely flustered. She looked down at the ground, then her eyes met his, imploring him to respond.
"I..." he began.
"Yes...?"
"I can't. I'm sorry."
Sakura-chan began to cry.
"W-why..?" she stammered between choked sobs.
"Because I am in the homos with Naruto-kun," he responded. And then Naruto-kun appeared using ninja techniques and they went off together to have the yaois.
