Cowboy Casanova
I walked down to breakfast the next morning. I didn't bother changing into clean clothes. It can wait. Logan was with me and we entered the kitchen to find Rogue, Kitty, and Jubilee at the island.
"Ahmanda! It's good ta see ya!" Rogue said. "Bobby told us ya got here lahst night."
"I did, Marie," I said.
"Hubby trouble?" Jubilee asked as Logan and I sat down.
"Yep. Logan let me spend the night in his room. Such a nice 'big brother'!" I gave him a hug and peck on his cheek.
"So, like, what'd Victor do?" Kitty asked.
"Did he cheat?" Jubilee asked.
I nodded. "Logan, can you get me some coffee?" He nodded and got up.
"Ah knew he was gonna go somethin'! Want me ta teach him a lesson?"
"No thanks. Not yet. You and Logan can later."
"How'd you find out?" Jubilee asked.
"Jubes." Logan handed me my coffee as he sat down. He had the same.
"It's okay, Logan." I turned to the girls. "I smelled ladies' perfume on him. When he went out to the bar, like always, I saw him get into a blue Mustang; that is where the scent was coming from."
"How long hahs he been doin' this, sugah?"
"Since our anniversary. Three weeks ago."
"Ah'm so sorry, Ahmanda. Y'know, Ah think Remy hahs been up ta somethin'."
"Peter, too," Kitty said. "All our men have been acting weird."
"But I trust Damian. We all trust our men," Jubilee said.
"I think they're Cowboy Casanovas."
"They're what?"
I smiled. "Cowboy Casanovas. I hate to say this, but I never liked any of your boys."
"But they love us."
"Listen to what I have to say girls. . ."
You better take it from me
That boy is like a disease
You're running
You're trying
You're trying to hide
And you're wondering why you can't get free
He's like a curse
He's like a drug
You get addicted to his love
You wanna get out
But he's holding you down
'Cause you can't live without one more touch
He's a good-time cowboy casanova
Leaning up against the record machine
He looks like a cool drink of water
But he's candy-coated misery
He's the devil in disguise
A snake with blue eyes
And he only comes out at night
Gives you feelings that you don't want to fight
You better run for your life
I see that look on your face
You ain't hearin' what I say
So I'll say it again
'Cause I've been where you've been
And I know how it ends
You can't get away-ay
Don't even look in his eyes
He'll tell you nothin' but lies
And you wanna believe
But you won't be deceived
If you listen to me
And take my advice
He's a good-time cowboy casanova
Leaning up against the record machine
He looks like a cool drink of water
But he's candy-coated misery
He's the devil in disguise
A snake with blue eyes
And he only comes out at night
Gives you feelings that you don't want to fight
You better run for your life
Run run away
Don't let him mess with your mind
He'll tell you anything you want to hear
He'll break your heart
It's just a matter of time
But just remember
He's a good-time cowboy casanova
Leaning up against the record machine
He looks like a cool drink of water
But he's candy-coated misery
He's the devil in disguise
A snake with blue eyes
And he only comes out at night
Gives you feelings that you don't want to fight
You better run for your life
Oh you better run for your life
Oh you better run for your life
"How do you know that's gonna happen to us?" Jubilee asked.
"I don't really know. I'm just telling you to watch out."
