Hello! I just wanted to quickly say that you can feel free to suggest any of your own characters. Also, I apologize if this isn't that good because this is my first time doing this.

Prologue

The sun shone down through the trees into the Fireclan camp. The bracken tunnel rustled as four cats padded into the camp, carrying prey. They all dropped their prey onto the prey pile.

"Good hunting." A ginger tom commented. The others nodded in agreement. "Quickfang!" A white she-cat with silver stripes called from across the camp. "Just a moment!" A dark grey tom with silver stripes called back.

He waved his tail to the others before bounding across the camp to the white she-cat. "Yes, Cloudflower?" The grey tom asked. He noticed that Cloudflower's eyes were shining and she quivered in excitement.

"Quickfang," she said, "I'm expecting kits!" Quickfang's eyes widened in shock. "Really? That's great!" He purred. Cloudflower purred back, weaving around him. "They're going to be beautiful!" She said.

Yes, they will. Quickfang thought. They will be the greatest warriors Fireclan has ever seen!

A Few Moons Later...

Their coming!" A black she-cat yowled from the nursery. Quickfang froze. What!? He thought.

He began to bound towards the nursery before bumping into a dark red she-cat with peircing orange eyes carrying herbs. "Move out of the way, Quickfang!" She said sharply. "S-sorry, Briarleaf!" Briarleaf's eyes softened. "It's okay, but you can't come in while Cloudflower is kitting." "What? But I need to see her!" Quickfang said, trying to push past Briarleaf.

A yowl came from the nursery, and the black she-cat stuck her head out again. "Any time now!" She called. Briarleaf flicked her tail at Quickfang. "Just stay here. I'll be out soon." With that, she spun around and bounded into the nursery, as Cloudflower yowled out again.

Quickfang felt a tail tip touch his shoulder and looked over to see a pale brown tom with a white muzzle, paws, and tail tip sitting next to him. "She'll be okay. Briarleaf knows what she's doing." He said. "I know, Beechstar." Quickfang sighed.

It seemed to take moons before Briarleaf stepped out of the nursery. "Congratulations, Quickfang." She meowed. "You have a daughter and a son." Briarleaf beckoned Quickfang with her tail. Hesitantly, he padded forward and slipped into the nursery. There sat Cloudflower, stretched out in her nest, with two kits nestled at her belly. The she-kit was cream colored, and the tom kit was dark grey like Quickfang, except without silver stripes. "They're beautiful." He whispered. Cloudflower smiled weakly. "Have you named them?" Quickfang asked.

Cloudflower nodded. "I was thinking Featherkit for the she-kit, but I haven't named the tom yet." Quickfang thought for a moment.

"What about Jackalkit?" Cloudflower wrinkled her nose. "I don't think so." She said. "How about Smokekit?" "I still think that Jackalkit is a better name." Quickfang replied. Cloudflower looked sharply at him. "His name will be Smokekit." Quickfang sighed. "Fine." He said.

Cloudflower yawned. "Get some rest." Quickfang told her. "You must be exhausted." Cloudflower nodded and closed her eyes.

Quickfang cast one more glance at his kits before stepping out of the nursery. I will make you both incredible warriors, Featherkit and Jackalkit, Quickfang thought. And your name will be Jackalkit, my son.
