Disclaimer: I don't own Warriors. Wow. How many times have I written that? Seven I think. Maybe I should re-read some of my stuff. Then again, that would probably bring me to tears.
Brambleclaw was asleep when he heard a strange sound. It sounded like chuckling. He looked around. He was at Fourtrees, which he found strange, as he was in his den just a second ago. Suddenly he heard someone behind him.
"Oh, hey..." Brambleclaw spun around and saw Bluestar. "Um... Is you refrigerator running?" Bluestar said quickly. Then she looked past Brambleclaw and started to mouth things to someone. After a moment she looked back to Brambleclaw.
"Okay... Listen. I need you to go to... the... um... suny-sun-sun... Sun Drowning... Sun Drown Placy... thing, and talk to... um..." Bluestar was starting to cat-sweat, which isn't really possible, but lots of impossible things happen in this parody. "Talk to... Midnight. Yeah. Good luck. Bye!"
Brambleclaw woke up suddenly. He was asleep in his den. It was just about morning. He got up and took a walk around. He was a little bit concerned, as he took his dream quite seriously. He decided to talk to Squirrelpaw about it, the one cat who he disliked most of all.
"Hey, Squirrelpaw. I really don't like you very much, but I thought that you would be the perfect person to ask for dream-prophesy tips. So, you see, I got this dream, from Bluestar, and she said that I have to go to the Sun-Drown Place, and talk to Midnight, and since it sounds really important and serious, I thought that I'd best get it done as soon as possible. So, do you know the way to the Sun-Drown place by chance? Maybe you have a map, or maybe a GPS or something?" Squirrelpaw just stared at him.
"Are you sure that wasn't just a prank dream? I get loads from Bluestar. She's as bad as a teenager. Well, technically she is a teenager, but other than that, why on earth do you think that Firestar will let you run off and do some errand for a dead cat?" Brambleclaw started to lick his muzzle.
"Actually, I think that it would be best if I snuck away under the cover of darkness. And since I hate you so much, why don't you come along!" Brambleclaw offered enthusiastically.
"Well, I do have issues with everybody on the planet, so I might as well. Just to warn you though, there's a high chance that this sun-drowned place doesn't even exist."
"Great, let's be off then." Brambleclaw started for the forest."
"Wait!" Squirrelpaw shouted. "Didn't you say 'Under the cover of darkness'? It's broad daylight." Brambleclaw sighed and nodded slowly.
"Okay. I'll wait."
Squirrelpaw thought that she ought to act fast if she was to keep Brambleclaw alive. She headed straight for he sister, who always seemed to know what to do, except when it came to toms. In that department she was absolutely clueless, since cat parents never bother to bring up the Birds and the Bees with their kits.
"Um, Leafpaw, Brambleclaw got a prank dream from Bluestar telling him to go on a dangerous mission." Squirrelpaw explained to her sister.
"And you want to stop him?" Leafpaw asked.
"Not particularly, but it would be something to do. So, just for future reference, when I disappear suddenly and dad's panicking, don't tell anyone that I ran off with the on cat that really hates me. Kay?" Leafpaw nodded absentmindedly as she continued to do what she was doing."
At midnight, Squirrelpaw met up with Brambleclaw and they quietly left camp. They continued to Fourtrees, because they figured that was as good a place to start as any. As they got closer, they realized that there were four other cats already there.
"Hey!" Brambleclaw called down to the hollow. "Who's there?"
"Brambleclaw?" Tawnypelt said in surprise. "What are you doing here?" Beside her, Feathertail and Stormfur, and some random looser from Windclan who was just thrown into the story for the sake of the plot, were staring up at Brambleclaw and Squirrelpaw.
"We're here because Bluestar sent us on a mission to save the forest. I think. She didn't really say. What about you?" Brambleclaw explained.
"Same. Only we know that it was only a prank dream. Unlike you. Idiot." So they set off, to discover the unknown world. Sort of. To cats it is. Well, warrior cats. That live in clans in England. I think it's England. I'm sure someone will fill me in on that.
To be continued...
Well, there's the start of a new story. See, the chapters will be a bit longer in this one. And you thought it would never happen. I know that this isn't exactly what happened in the books but, shut up. Wait until next week, or next month, to find out what didn't happen.
