Author's Note: Since my last FNAF story didn't do so well, I'm trying a completely new one that I hope you all will like. It does feature old OC's of mine like Tom Smith, Al, and Ron, but it changes some things. Primarily, how I'm telling it. Well, I hope you like this. I don't own Five Nights at Freddy's, it belongs to Scott Cawthon. Enjoy!
Chapter One: Tom, Part 1
Year: 1983
Tom was a young man of 13 who loved Fredbear's Family Diner. It was more than just a restaurant to him...it was his home, his happy place...his sanctuary. And, like the advertising always said, "A magical place for kids and grown ups alike, and where fantasy and fun come to life!" Well, at least, that's what the owner always said. The owner was a man named Al, who created the restaurant just at 23 years old. He was also friends with a mechanic named Ron. Al and Ron though, were polar opposites.
Al was very sure of himself. And Ron was shy yet vocal when need be. But this isn't their story...well, not yet. Tom sat at one of the Diner's tables with his mother, Jules. His mother was a kind woman...his father though? Completely out of the picture. Though Tom only knew his father as William. Afton was his true last name, but Tom took after his mother with Smith being her maiden name.
"Enjoying the food dear?" she asked Tom happily.
"You bet mom!" Tom replied equally happy. And all was going well. Though the Diner was small, there was 15 tables, a little ball pit, and a stage with two animatronics. Spring Bonnie and Fredbear. However, the day didn't last happily for long. CRUNCH! Tom didn't get to see where the sound came from as his mother shielded his eyes, and ran him out of the building as fast as possible.
As they got in the car, Jules said urgently, "We are never returning to this...place again!"
"Why?" Tom whined.
"Damn it Thomas Smith, do what I say!" she screamed even more urgent and angry than before...that was the last time Tom would see Fredbear's...but not the last time he would see the animatronics. That was for sure.
