It was a quiet night in Japan, and the five year old Fumikage Tokoyami was asleep in bed. The little bird-headed boy dreaming about what his quirk would be once it fully devolved. Since he was part bird, he'd figured eventually he'd sprout wings and be able to fly
"Hehe, look mom I can fly!" Tokoyami said as he imagined himself with wings in his dream, like his mom also had
(I know we haven't seen his parents yet. So hey, it's fair game what their quirks are)
Yet the bird boys little dream was cut short as he was suddenly stirred awake
"Ugh," Tokoyami said feeling like he had an upset stomach "Must've been that taco dad made for dinner," he thought as he got out of bed and turned on the light. Only to then trip on a toy he left on floor earlier
"Guess you missed that when mom told ya to clean up this room," a voice said
"Huh?" Tokoyami said as got up to see who said that
Only to see a dark, shadowy version of himself
"Hi," Dark Shadow said
"AHHHHHHH!" the young Tokoyami screamed
As he tried to run away from the monster, only to soon realize it was stuck to him
"Whoa!" Dark Shadow said as he got dragged along with the bird boy. It managed to grab onto the doorway of his room
"We forgot to turn the light off!" it said
Tokoyami was to busy trying to pull dark shadow of himself
Eventually all this ruckus awake his parents
"Son!?" Tokoyami's mom and dad said rushing out of their own room to their child
"Mom! Dad!" Tokoyami cried pointing to Dark Shadow
"Huh!" his parents gasped, then hugged their son
"Congratulations son," his dad said
"My little boy got his quirk," his mom said
"Huh? My quirk?" Tokoyami said looking at Dark Shadow
Dark Shadow waved at the bird
"Hi mom, hi dad," it said
"Reminds me of my dads quirk," his father said "Though his didn't talk,"
Dark Shadow went over and hugged his family to
"So does this mean I have a brother now?" Tokoyami asked
