"Spike! It's essential that you tell me what you know!"
"No I don't, Slayer," he scoffed. "I don't owe you anything."
Buffy pursed her lips. "You owe it to Dawn."
"I'll tell the Nibblet, then. When does her school let out again?"
"Not. Anytime. Soon," she growled. She pushed Spike up against the crypt wall. "Who's Dominique Destine, and what does she want with my sister?"
"Lay off, and I'll tell you."
With hesitation she backed away. "Talk."
"She's the head of some company based in New York called Nightstone Unlimited. I hear she's not a woman to mess with."
"And Glory is?"
"She thinks having the Key in her possession would be very valuable. I don't know what her intentions are..."
"I don't care what her intentions are. She's not laying a hand on Dawn."
"I know, Buffy. No one will. Not as long as I'm around."
Meanwhile in New York...
"I don't think she's going to come willingly..." Dominique spoke on the phone while sitting in her office. "But it's essential that she come to me. The power she possesses is amazing and must be explored... and neither god nor Slayer is going to ruin it for me."
