A girl was sitting alone in a room, crying. Suddenly, a knock on the door was heard.

She looked up and asked "Who is it, and what do you want?"

From the other side came a male voice " It's not that good of a name, but some people call me the Laugh Maker. I've brought you a smile! It's cold out here! Please let me in!" She couldn't recognize the voice.

" LAUGH MAKER, ARE YOU JOKING! I DON'T REMEMBER CALLING FOR SOMEONE LIKE YOU! GO DISAPPEAR!" If he's here, she thought, I can't cry! She was crying so badly, her water magic was out of control.

In the newly flooded room, another knock flew in.

"THAT GUY IS STILL HERE! DIDN'T I SAY FOR YOU TO DISAPPEAR!" she yelled, water mixing with the tears.

"You're the first person to say that in my whole life! I feel so sad, like I'm about to cry." and sure enough, sniffling was soon heard.

"LAUGH MAKER, ARE YOU JOKING, IT CAN'T BE HELPED IF YOU CRY! I'M THE ONE WHO WANTS TO CRY! AND I DON'T REMEMBER CALLING FOR SOMEONE LIKE YOU!" she screamed.

Their two crying voices mixed, and faraway, several people watched them, hoping this would help them both.

Their backs together against the door, hugging their knees together, both of their voices tired from crying.

"Do you still intend to make me laugh, Laugh Maker?" the girl asked.

"It's the only thing I live for. If I don't make you laugh I can't go home!" the boy stated.

Maybe I can let him in. the girl thought. She tried opening the door, but realized that the room was flooded due too her water magic!

"Push the door from your side, it's already unlocked." she called.

When she didn't hear an answer, she pounded on the door, " Say yes or no or something! What's wrong!" she called. Oh no, don't tell me!

" LAUGH MAKER, ARE YOU JOKING! NOW YOU LEAVE ME ALL ALONE!" she screamed as more tears fell. As soon as I believed in you, you ran away "LAUGH MAKER, THIS ISN'T A JOKE" she was going to continue, but she heard the window shatter.

Holding a metal pipe, he had shattered the window, his face covered in tears. " I brought you a smile!" he stated, smiling. He held out a mirror and said "See, you can smile."
