So this was originally written to cheer up a friend, but I decided to share. Enjoy some Fiyeraba fluff!

"Fiyero!" Elphaba exclaimed as he plucked her from the floor, spinning her around. The soapsuds from her arms coated the kitchen and the green woman wore an annoyed expression when she was finally placed back on the ground. The straw man just laughed at her pouting face, an expression surely learnt from a certain blonde, and flicked soapy water at her. Elphaba wiped it from her face and raised an eyebrow at him.

"What in Oz name has put you in this kind of mood?" she asked, returning to her earlier task of sorting out the dishes, rolling up her sleeves which had fallen down in his silliness.

Fiyero dumped the bag filled with the stuff he had fetched from the forest that surrounded their home on the table in the middle of the room. Pulling out a chair, he sat down and watched as Elphaba finished piling up the various plates and bowls. It was not a task that she enjoyed, and he did so wish he could assist. But straw and water did not mix very well, and after a few broken plates, Elphaba had gotten the hang of it.

"I heard someone playing music," he finally answered.

Elphaba turned to look at him with a worried expression on her face. He had thought this would be her reaction.

"Were they near here? Do I need to put spells up around the house?"

"Elphaba, calm down," Fiyero said gently, standing and taking her in his arms. "I went further than usual today. I even came back in a way they could never follow. You don't have to worry about a thing."

With that, in order to take her mind off things, Fiyero began to dramatically sing out the tune he had heard and spun with her around the kitchen. There was not much room and so, plucking her from the floor once more, he carried her into their living room. Elphaba's laugh bounced around the room as she tried to keep up with her scarecrow. Fiyero twirled her and then dipped her dramatically, her hair falling loose from the bun she had twisted it into.

Elphaba scowled at him playfully while he set her back on two feet. Shoving his shoulder slightly, her rough way of showing affection, Elphaba went to walk back into the kitchen.

"You should really let me teach you how to dance," Fiyero commented.

Elphaba glanced over her shoulder, an eyebrow raised. "Really? I'm fairly certain the whole of Oz must know I have two left feet. You saw me at the Ozdust, didn't you? Or were you to busy staring at Glinda's-"

"I think you have potential," Fiyero quickly said, cutting her off. This only made the green woman smirk more.

"I have 'potential', do I?" she enquired, walking back over to her scarecrow. "Are you sure you don't simply want to show off your dancing skills some more?"

Fiyero smiled, unashamed. He had expected Elphaba to see right through him. Truth be told, he had missed dancing. And his love would be a perfect partner. Two left feet or not.

"Sing me something," he said, "and I'll choreograph."

Elphaba began to sing an old lullaby softly, something she had known seemingly forever. Fiyero took her hands in his, placing one of them on his shoulder while keeping his grip on the other. He placed one of his hands on her hip and led them around the room in a slow waltz, something Elphaba could keep up with. A dark head was soon laid on a soft chest as they continued, her eyes closing as she continued to hum the melody.

It might have been an odd sight from the outside. A green witch waltzing with a scarecrow. But to the pair, in that moment, it was perfect.
