I pushed through the vines and sighed.
"There must be a pond somewhere." Katara had decided to escape from Ba Sing Se for a few hours and find some place away and just take a soothing bath. But, she knew that no matter how hard she tried to get away in Ba Sing Se she wouldn't really be alone until she went out of the city.
Ever since Aang left…er, Sokka and Aang went out of the city, Katara has wanted to take this time to her advantage and get a break. Since everything was going greatly anyways, she figured it wouldn't make a difference. She wasn't lost in this forest-like place…no, she was just getting closer and closer to her hot bath!
Okay, she was lost. "Where did I-?" great. It was raining. She bended a water-umbrella over herself and started running.
"Just great! My few hours to take a bath and it rain-" she almost choked as she saw a man bent over crying in the rain. She stopped the water from falling on him and she ran closer…Zuko! "Oh, no!" she whispered as he lifted his head up.
"You're that peas…I mean, you're the avatar's companion…" Katara stepped back. "What are you doing here, Zuko? Have you been following me? What do you think you're going to do?" Zuko stood up and was now at eye level with her.
"I haven't been following you. I live in Ba Sing Se-I'm through chasing after your avatar friend. I'm not going to do anything. I just came out here to think before it started to rain-"
he looked up and saw how she was bending the water so he wouldn't get wet. "Th-thanks." he said thankfully. She knew that he meant absolutely no harm to her or Aang now. Er, or Sokka or Toph!
"You look really sick, Zuko. I can't believe I'm saying this, but, can I do anything for you?" Zuko was struck by her words. Kindness wasn't friendly with him, no, no. "You're right, I am sick. How could you help, though?"
Katara saw a puddle nearby and pulled the water from it to her hands. They were glowing now, and quite expertly she pushed her hands to his chest and healed him. (A/N: Um, quite expertly she healed him, not quite expertly she pushed her hands on his chest…XDDD) Zuko groaned as he sweated reverently.
"S-stop-" he whispered and almost fell but just stepped back. Then he did what he's never done to anyone but his mother. He wrapped Katara in a friendly hug. She hugged him back, smiling. Does this mean that we don't have to worry about Zuko chasing us anymore? Katara wondered.
He pulled back. "Katara, wasn't it?" he whispered in her ear. "Y-yes. So-does this, uh, mean that you're not going to be chasing us anymore?" Zuko laughed lightly. "Well, I won't be chasing the girl, your brother or the avatar, but, I will always be chasing you." he gently kissed her on the cheek. "Good," Katara whispered. "but don't tell Aang."
