This year, the son of Queen America and Prince Maxon, has come of age and is having his selection! I want more than anything to be selected!
Today is the day they announce the selected girls on TV and I am beyond excited!
"Well honey? Are you excited?" My mother said. She knew how badly I wanted this and that was very badly.
"Hello illea! Are you ready to see this years beautiful girls for prince Jason's selection? Here we go! "
"Summer, face it. You are never getting selected and if you do, they won't want you there" said Amy, my sister.

after 3 people, I stopped listening. I thought about what my sister said. What if I was selected and nobody wanted me and the prince sent me home!? I could never deal with the embarrassment!
Just then, my mother screamed. I looked at the TV. It read:

As I walked out of my home, I was shocked. I could not believe I, small town Summer, had been selected.
My mother was obviously crying, tears of joy and sadness, although she was trying to hide it.
Before I left, and was taken away, she gave me a locket that belonged to my great-grandma and had been passed down for generations. "I want you to have this. It belonged to me when I was your age and I know it will help you see the strength and courage you have inside." She told me.
I was sad to leave, but excited for my new life ahead! I packed my flute, guitar and clarinet and headed out. The officials sent me away.
When I got to the palace, I met my maids. Kimi, Alyssa, and Juliet. "hello! We are your maids! I am kimi, that's Alyssa and that's Juliet!" They smiled and waved at me cheerfully. "Hello! I am Lady Summer. It's a pleasure to meet you!" "Awh look at her, she speaks like a princess already now we just have to make you look like one!" Said Juliet. Alyssa glared knowing that was not the nicest comment. "Come with us Lady Summer! We will make you look even more like a princess!" Said Alyssa.
They took my messy mid-back length dirty blond hair and tied it up. They took some measurements for fittings and Juliet ran away. Next, Alyssa stared on my makeup. She put on pink and dark pink eyeshadow. I was assuming the dress was pink but I didn't know. Next they curled my hair and made it look beautiful!
Juliet ran back In with the most beautiful dress I had ever seen. It was a floor length pink ball gown. It had a flower sash and fit me perfectly. "It's so beautiful" I said. I wonder what will happen next!
