dandelions – that's what I first thought when i saw him. well, that and the fact that he rocked those skinny jeans like they were made for him. but mostly dandelions.
those little puffs, half wish, half weed, were all he was holding in his hands, but he had an entire bouquet of them. it was only later that i wondered who the lucky girl was, although he looked so uncomfortable i don't know if I'd say she were lucky, per se.
a mess of contradictions, he was, and i loved it, loved it like i'd been the one to put them all together, in a hodgepodge mix few could ever understand. i didn't love him, keep in mind. at least, not yet. but i thought he was beautiful in a way I couldn't explain, and that at least, captured my attention, snagged it like a loose thread on a jutting nail.
