Grey Traveller

A figure walks across the plain,
cloaked back bent against the rain.
He struggles on, despite the cold.
A tall white staff his right hand holds.
He wears a hood and cloak of grey,
travelling through night and day.
He nears the city's tall white gate
which holds in the lies and hate.
Peasants fearful; old king wise
but decieved by servant's lies.
He a servant loyal to
the enemy who does brew
a plot to steal the king's high crown.
Our wizard, though, will throw him down.
The wizard walks across the plain
Powers disguised by cloak and rain.
