Mechanic Geeks, a power rangers fanfic

Notes - Inspired by a scene in the new TMNT movie. Forgive me. It makes sense even if you haven't seen that, though. And, uh, I do know about the Ninja Gliders the Winds have, I'm just choosing to ignore it. xD

I don't own Power Rangers. If I did, there'd be more slash and less talking animals. oo;

"Dude, that's totally sick," Dustin cheered, clapping Hunter on the shoulder. "It's like, a bike and a hang-glider and a jet-pack and a really awesome weapon all in one!"

"And Perry actually let you guys have it?" Shane looked envious. Just because he wasn't into bikes didn't mean he couldn't appreciate what amounted to a cool new flying weapon, after all.

"Well, Cam did modify the thing. And we ARE the Power Rangers." Hunter grinned. "Besides, he's a mechanic geek, what would he do with it now that Motodrone's gone?"

Cam looked over from his position at the computer. "Hey, you depend on 'mechanic geeks' to clean up after you," he deadpanned. "You guys trash your bikes nearly as often as you trash the zords."

Dustin looked thoughtful for a moment. "Yeah.. Hey Cam?"

Cam groaned inwardly. Anytime Dustin looked like he was thinking, no good ever came of it. "What?"

"Since you're such a genius and everything, why don't we ALL have, like, jet-packs or something?"

Shane laughed and punched Dustin in the shoulder. "You gotta be kidding me, man. I so don't want you in my airspace." Loud protests followed.

Cam looked as though he agreed. "You're just lucky you don't need a drivers' license to operate a zord, Dustin," he quipped. "I don't know how you can be that good at motocross and that bad at anything else."

"Hey, dude, parallel parking is hard! There is SO not anything like that in moto!"

So, uh. The first time I watched this movie I kept thinking about Shane as Leonardo, Dustin as Michelangelo, Hunter as Raphael, and Cam as Donatello. The idea kept poking at me and it wants me to write more. This scene was the first thing to pop into my head, since I watched "Brothers In Arms" earlier - so the "jetpacks" scene from TMNT jumped out at me. xD;
