She watches me with her deep amber eyes
With a small smile she faces the moon
Her eyes glisten with the light of the stars and moon
Like the moon she knew her time on this earth was momentary
She glances up at me and in a soft voice speaks
"Sesshomaru –sama do like the moon?"
I do not answer
She smiles knowingly
"Then will you promise me that when I am gone that you will always remember me every night when the moon is out like this"
Then she whispers "Forever and Ever?"
She looks at me with her twinkling amber eyes full of hope
I show no emotion and do not answer
Her face falls as she gracefully rises and sits on the other side of the tree
I smell the tears and hear her sad whispers
And then the silence
I rose went to where she slumbered
As I knelt down and stroked her soft dark black hair
And I kneel down close to her ear and whisper into her dreams
"Forever and ever my beloved"
