Chapter I

She glided down the hallway. Flaunting everything she had been taught in the previous years. If anyone was going to be the Bell of the ball, it would be her.

Chrissy had been at military school long prior to her parents enrolling her in a secondary school for girls, truly made for girls with money. It was the biggest change of her life, until that night.

She found the door that she had long missed, the one with the "parental advisory" sticker on the front. And the little fairy charm she picked up at "Hot Topic" some few years ago. She had to unlock it, like she was going to leave her door unlocked for four years with her parents in the house; they'd trash it and make it, pink or something.

As she waltzed in, happy to see her room hadn't been touched over the years. She saw it, in the corner, the only thing different about her room. An oddly disfigured cat, with a hole it looked like in its ear and, from the low light, it almost looked purple.

"Hello Alice" it slithered in an odd British/proper sounding tongue.

"What the hell??? And who's Alice?" Chrissy was astonished the cat spoke.

"Why you are my dear, don't you remember?" with that said the cat jumped down from its perch that Chrissy couldn't quite see, and came over to the girl.

A flash, and then, a fire, screaming, a beautiful land, a hole, a little white rabbit, her old cat Dinah, a man in a top hat with a price tag on it, an ugly queen, the looking glass, the Jabberwockey, and her, when she was only eight or nine.

"What was all that?"

"Ahh so now you remember?" the cat purred around her feet, until Alice picked him up.

"What's happened to me" she looked down at her clothes "How could this have happened, I'd forgotten everything, the hatter, the queen, the white rabbit, and of course you Cheshire"

"It's not so surprising, I had come back to see you after you'd left, and you were in a coma for some time" he explained "I don't think those are your parents though, and where is my darling Dinah?"

"I'm not so sure, I haven't seen her since before military school. My parents didn't tell me anything about a coma"

The Cheshire cat jumped down from Alice's arms and strode to the only window in the room, the same way he'd come in. Motioning for Alice to follow, he jumped out into the night.

"Follow me darling"

She didn't bother to ask questions, she knew where they were going. The only place she knows to be her home, the one she'd been kept from all these years, Wonderland.
