In the darkness of the caver I was running. There was no destination in my mind, just forward.I had to get away from that... thing that was chasing me. A safe haven wasn't an option but She was. She could help me get away.

Me legs were killing me. I felt close to the end of this chase. Soon my fears would catch up to me and I wouldn't be able to fend them off. Suddenly, my foot cought on a rock sticking out of the ground and I fell forward. But I didn't land on the ground. Instead I just kept falling. Fartherand farther into the ground. Laughter leading me on my way.

When a light appeared in my vision, it started getting brighter and brighter until it engulfed my entire vision.

As soon as all hope of sqlvation seemed lost a beepeing sound took hold of my ears... and I woke up.

It was 7:00 am Monday morning. First day of my junior year at Angel City High. I was dreading going through highscho after the accident. There was just no point in going, but I had to. All my mom ever wanted was to see me graduate so I would. For her.

This morning I put on a pair of blue jeans and a plain, yellow t-shirt. When I looked in the mirror I saw a a red haired girl with blue eyes. From her right eye to the bottom of her earlobe a giant scar was present. A reminder of the accident. I covered it with makeup and left to go to school after grabbing my backpack and a banana.

I hopped into my white truck and turned the key in the ignition. When I pulled out of the driveway I flipped my phone open to call me dad. Not a great safety plan, I know, but it was the only time I had to call him.

"Hi daddy!" I cried when he answered the phone. "Are you okay? Youre not sick of the hospitals jello yet?"

"I'm fine. My legs still hurt but the jello does help me get through the pain." He joked back.

"Ok daddy. I'm on my way to school but I wanted to be sure you were ok."

"Bye, my special." He said into the phone. Using the nickname he knew I hatedn

"Love you." I replied before hanging up the phone. I wanted to see hi. Today after school hut I wasn't sure I fould bear it. Both of his legs were blown off in the accident. When I first saw him afterwards I threw up. I haven't been to see hime since. But I do talk to him everyday.

When I pulled into the school iids were already swarmed evrywhere. I came from a small prep school with only 300 kids. A full on highschool is so much different than that. After surveying my surroundings I turned to look out the window and saw a pair of warm brown eyes staring back at me.
