I Need You
Lush Pink locks bounced around a cherub like face. Purple eyes starred down at the sheet of paper that was before them. Shuichi sighed slightly to himself as he nibbled on the tip of his pencil's eraser. He had been laying sprawled on the wood floor of his and Erie's apartment , for hours now trying to scrawl letters onto his crisp white page. Yet to this point nothing had come to him. He was still swaying his head from side to side, as he hastily scribbled a few words down, only to quickly erase them frowning.
He just couldn't seem to write a thing. Nothing! How could this be. That he Shuichi had writers block? Turning on the radio he hummed along with the tune that belted from the speakers. His cherub face brightened up as words came to him with more ease than before.
…I don't need a lot of things….I can get by with nothing…. Humming out as loud as he could words started to flow now. Pressing the record button on his small black recorder, Shuichi started singing aloud letting it all flow out.
"When it comes to loving you, you're my only reason, you're my only truth!" Pink locks now bounced with the intricate and delicate swaying he had begun as he sun to his hearts content. Un denounced to him Erie had come out of his office to see what Shuichi was doing and be a quiet spectator, to the writing of the bands new song.
Shuichi smiled as he continued to let words flow from his delicate lips.
"I need you like water, like breath, like rain" Bouncing to the stereo he cranked up the volume on the background music to match his voice. "There's a freedom in your arms, that carries me through, I need you!!"
Smiling Erie continued to silently watch his small lover sing to himself, dancing around their apartment. Listening to the lyrics Shuichi was belting out he thought to himself. Memories flooding in, all the time they had spent together now. All the love they had shared. How it had all began. He thought now of how he almost gave it all up. Shuichi in the end was able to keep Erie by his side, and for this Erie was grateful beyond anything. Shuichi had become his life. His happiness and nothing was ever going to change that.
Shuichi now caught sight of Erie and giggled slightly as he danced around him, in song."You're the hope that moves me, To courage again...Your the love that rescues me.."
Just one look at his Shuichi and the whole world became okay. Everything he worried about, every worry, every bad thing. It all became good, it all became okay and fixed for that moment alone. Shuichi made life bearable. He made the world a better place. Still smiling to himself Erie came back from his thoughts as Shuichi belted out the last few verses of his new song of their love.
"There's a freedom in your arms that carries me through, I need you!"
Shuichi was beaming as he finished his song, slightly out of breath. Looking to his lover he gasped as he was enveloped in Erie's tight embrace. Erie hugged Shuichi as tight as he could kissing him all over. When he released him Shuichi giggled a bit like a child smiling at him. Pulling him close again Erie leaned down to Shuichi's ear and whispered into it.
"I love you Shuichi Shindou" Throwing his arms around Erie's neck, he was carried away as Erie picked up a small remote pressing playback. The song Shuichi had just sung now bellowed through the rooms of their home as Erie closed their bedroom door with his foot, the two disappearing for the night.
