Sketch: I was attempting to write a ficlet that was exactly 100 words (I believe they're called "drabbles..."), and this came out. It's 127 words, according to the document length when I submitted it, but I wouldn't change a thing. YES, I'm a closet Harry/Luna shipper. Except I'm no longer in the closet. O.o Anyway, n joi.

Luna had always liked color change ink. The effortless shifting from red to green to blue and back to red all in the same curling quill stroke was pleasing to her eye. Perhaps it was her whimsy that permitted her fascination, as many of her classmates had outgrown the magic long ago.
Harry knew that Luna still liked color change ink, because she had told him so; therefore he knew that a note written with such ink would capture her attention. A vague yet clear note, expressing his feelings for her…
The next morning Hedwig dropped the rainbow-written message at Luna's seat. She read it, and cast her bright, dreamy smile at Harry from across the Great Hall. In Harry's eyes, Luna had never looked more beautiful.
