SOUL POWER!
Soul: This is just some short poetry from between the time Lee-la and Sango stayed in Konoha. The poem is from Lee-la to Naruto.
Summery: One night in Konoha, while watching stars, Lee-la compares Naruto to a poem she heard and well…it makes him happy and loved. So without further a due on with the story.
Loved
"Look at the stars Lee-la-chan their so many and there so bright!" exclaimed a happy Naruto giving her a fox like grin as he and Lee-la star gazed.
"You know Naru-kun, you remind me of a poem I heard long ago." she stated, still looking at the stars.
"I do?" Naruto asked while blushing because of the nick-name she gave him.
"Yeah you do," she said as she turned to him "do you want to hear it?" she asked and at his nod she started.
"Well it goes like this…
Four little foxes by: Lew Sarett
"Speak gently, Spring, and make no sudden sounds;
For in my windy valley, yesterday I found
New-born foxes squirming on the ground—
Speak gently.
Walk softly, March, forbear the bitter blow;
Her feet within a trap, her blood upon the snow,
The four little foxes saw their mother go—
Walk softly.
Go lightly, Spring, oh, give them no alarm;
When I cover them with broughs to shelter them from harm,
The thin blue foxes suckled at my arm—
Go lightly.
Step softly, March, with your rampant hurricane;
Nuzzling one another, and whimpering with pain,
The new little foxes are shivering in the rain—
Step softly."
"But do you know what the differences are Naruto?" Lee-la asked as she finished her poetry.
"No, what are they?" he asked.
"Well," she began as she turned to face him"the differences are that in the poem the foxes are alone, but your not you have me and Sango here with you." She finished giving him a bright smile.
For once Naruto was speechless the only thing he could do was throw him-self at her in a great hug. He didn't know that he had started crying, but Lee-la did because she felt them on her shoulder.
She slowly wrapped her arms around him as he wiped silently on her shoulder" Shh…Naru it's alright, you don't have to be sad." Lee-la said as she tried to get him to clam down.
"I'm not sad." It was whispered but she still heard it.
"Then why are you crying?" She had to know if she was the one that made him cry.
"I'm crying because there are people who care about me," he paused for a moment" like you." He said as he hugged her tighter.
"You know I'll always be here for you, you know that right?" Lee-la asked, as she looked up at the stars once more.
"Yeah, I know." Naruto replied.
"Good, now hush and watch the stars." She said as she hushed him.
"Thank you Lee-la-chan." Naruto said, as he scooted closer to her.
"No prob Naru," Lee-la said as she sighed contently as the wind blew through her hair" no prob at all."
Soul: I hope you all like it, this part of the poem is going to be in the new story I'm writing, and so READ and REVIEW to tell me what think, and let me know if you want to hear more.
Until next time
