Hey, this idea came to me a couple weeks ago and I want to know if you like it. Please tell me if you think the story is any good and where you think the story should head.

Prologue

I was running. I was running as fast as my legs would take me, which is pretty fast. I didn't know where I was going, but I knew that I had to get away from there. That awful place that I could never call home again.

What is "home"? Home is supposed to be a place that you could always turn to. A place where you would always be welcomed, no matter what you did. You are supposed to feel comforted and at peace. A place where one could escape the outside world. In other words, a place that I no longer had.

Chapter 1

I kept on running until I came across a large, black mansion. I had no idea where I was, but from the scent, I could tell that vampires were the inhabitants of this house. I walked towards when a girl around my age greeted me. She had long copper curls that fell down to her waist and big brown eyes.

"Hello." she greeted me.

"Hi." I replied back. "Do you know where I am?"

"You're in the northern part of Montana." she replied. "Where are you from."

"Excuse my rudeness, but I don't like to talk about my past."

"You don't have anywhere to go?" she asked.

"No." I replied.

"Are you a nomad?" she asked.

"Kind of." I replied. "I don't really know what I am."

"I know what you mean." the girl said.

"You do?" I questioned.

"Yeah," she replied, "I'll show you." she walked over to me and placed her hand on my cheek. I flinched at her touch because I wasn't used to any sort of contact from anyone. She showed me her life story.

"Wow." I replied. "I didn't think that there was anyone else remotely similar to me."

"Are you a hybrid, too?" she asked.

"Yeah," I replied, "except I'm not nearly as loved or lucky as you. The name's Nevaeh Audrey, but I prefer to be called by my middle name."

"I'm Reneesme, but you can call me Nessie." the girl said.

"Pleased to meet you."

"You're welcomed to come and stay with my family." Nessie offered.

"I'd like that." I replied. "Thank you."
