My Blackened Heart
A heart of gold turns the deepest black,
It has no hope of changing back.
The world seems to spin 'round and 'round,
With barking from the hunter's hounds.
Do you know of life's true sorrows?
The feeling that you won't see tomorrow?
The bullet's shot, I feel the pain,
The ground catches me on a grassy plain.
My black heart's beat is slowing down,
I will never again see the world go 'round.
Good bye cruel world, good bye I say again,
I'll see you when my new life begins.
Whether I sit at my father's right hand or rot in Hell,
I know only time can tell.
All I have is one last prayer,
To let it end in which way I don't careā¦
