WinterWidow One-Shot (Natasha and Bucky)

Darkness washed over the city as the slowly disappeared from view. Nothing was lit up for a few minutes and then all at once, the city came alive, lights flicking up and lighting up the night sky with their bright colours. The perfect scene for the couple that needed it. Bucky wandered down the brightly lit street, holding Natasha close to his body, even though he wasn't much warmer than the air around them. Natasha held onto his arm as they walked, keeping a good grip and not letting him go. She didn't want to, ever. She knew it was dangerous for them to both be out. Both of them weren't exactly what you'd call good people. They both knew what they had done. And how it came to affect both the lives of them and the people they hurt. They both had such a dark past, the lights seem to lift up their spirits and keep them together. Bucky watched Natasha as she gazed around, a smile played on his lips at her beauty and how she could just seem so… so peaceful. He didn't know how she could do it. He couldn't. He slowly looked down from her, towards the ground as the smile faded and was quickly replaced by a frown. He never liked to think about what he had done, it just crept into his head without his permission. They haunted him by night, caused nightmares to enter his head and make him lose sleep. He was brought out of his daydream by Natasha's face looking up at him from her place by his side.
"Bucky what's wrong?" She asked and placed her hands on his cheeks softly, hidden in soft black gloves that felt fluffy against his face as she smiled gently at him, actually concerned for her boyfriend.
Bucky smiled back softly and ran his human fingers through her hair slowly, being careful not to hurt her. "I'm okay darling…" He smiled at her reassuringly before wrapping his metal arm around her waist, being careful not to grip her too tightly, and pulled her close to him while giving her a small smirk as he leaned down and pressed his lips to hers in a passionate kiss, holding her small body to his as she responded eagerly, holding his arms tightly with a smile as she pulled away from him, the lights shining brightly down on them. He held her close in his arms and sighed happily as she rested her head on his chest, leaning his cheek on top of her head and smiling gently. Yes they were on a street corner, but neither of them cared. For they were in their own little world with not a care in the world as they held tightly to each other, each reluctant to let go. Bucky pulled back a little as he looked down at her, with a small little smile on his lips.
"C'mon Natasha… we have your recital to get to." He pulled out of the hug and took her hand in his metal one, starting to walk towards the ballet studio. "You're going to blow them away… you always do." She felt the blush, trying to get onto her cheeks as she smiled gently and laughed a little.
"Why thank you Buck… I can finally relate to one of the performances, a lost Russian princess…" She smiled happily at him and clutched his hand tightly as they entered. "And you are my prince." Bucky kissed her head softly before replying.

"For now, and always Natasha."
