This is going to be an acronym ficlet, based on Chihiro's adventures. The chapters may be fairly short. This is my first Spirited Away fic and I'm thrilled! So, without further ado, here's chapter number uno!

Chihiro's R. E. P. R. I. S. E.

i: Regret

X------X------X------X

Regret. A combination of regret and remorse is what she felt on that fateful day.

She was moving, though her father called it "an enhancing relocation." But she saw right through him. They were completely transparent, he and her mother. She wasn't the average dumb, naive, "I'll-believe-anything-my-mommy-tells-me" ten year old.

She was bright.

She knew that she couldn't always confide in her parents. Maybe with the simple, petty things. But no, this was serious.

So she sat, curled up like a sick puppy, in the backseat of the little car, clutching her beautiful pink bouquet of vibrant, dieing, blossoms for dear life. As her parents chatted excitedly (it sickened her to see them do so), she watched the familiar scenery slowly pass by and fade until she had no idea where she was. And she wondered, will I ever go back? Will I ever see my friends again?

She didn't bother to ask her parents. She knew they'd give her a sweet, "There, there, honey," or "Don't worry Chihiro, you'll meet brand new friends," that clearly meant:

"No, we'll never go back." She felt nauseous at the thought. Oh, how she hated new neighbor hoods, new schools, and new people. Why did everything have to change?

Then, she wished she'd never complained about the old, rickety air conditioner or the paper thin walls of her old, beloved home. She wished she'd never whined about how the kids and teachers at school "blamed everything on her."

More then anything, she wished she could just go home.

She regretted it all.

'Me and my big mouth!'
