In one way or another, Romulus Vargas always had something to do. Something to entertain him, keep him busy, but for the first time ever, the Roman had nothing to do. Nothing caught and held his attention for more than a few minutes, and the man was utterly bored when suddenly a thought occurred to him; why not call up a relative?

Of course! Romulus thought with a grin, snatching up his phone. After all, he hadn't spoken with a certain Italian grandson in what felt like forever. The brunette quickly punched in Lovino Vargas' number, whistling delightedly as the phone rung in his ears.

The only reply from the other end he received was a short, brisk, "Grandpa?" from his grandson.

"Lovino!" Romulus gushed, flinging himself forward on his couch. "How would-a you like to come and-a visit me, Lovi?" he offered, obviously not expecting the answer he received.

"Oh- now?" asked the Italian on the other end, somewhat shocked. After all those years, it had to be now that the jerk called, it just had to be now. "Grandpa, I really can't right now. I'm really busy right now, my friend Antonio's sick and I have to take care of him and his farm. Stupid jerk, leaving me with responsibilities like that, even though I have to take care of Feli, too." Lovino added with an irritated grumble.

"Grandpa?" Lovino asked hesitantly after he received no response from the older Vargas, who was looking down in confusion.

"What? Oh!" came the Roman's response, "Haha, that's-a perfectly fine! You go have your fun, Lovi~!" he responded with a cheerful tone, masking the worry. Romulus almost didn't hear the reply of a quick "Ciao" as goodbye, as he hung up.

Abandoned project. May continue another time.
