Hermione pulled her hair into a ponytail and wrenched it tight. She put her hands on her hips and bit her lip as she surveyed the room.
Her husband was absolutely mad—she promised him one night of fun with his friends in their home and he had driven their house into a complete disaster.
She wasn't a total neat freak or anything, but she liked cleanliness and was fond of the way Ron cleaned up after himself these days. Of course, after the wild party he had apparently had last night, he was still asleep when she came in that morning. She had spent the night with Luna and Ginny in a gorgeous hotel, going to the spa and shopping—but it was no fun coming home to this mess.
Considering it was Ron's fault, she thundered up the stairs and tried to wake him up, enlisting him to help her clean up.
"Oh, Hermione!" Ron said sleepily as he woke up. "I was waiting for you, darling."
He curled around her and pulled her into their bed, nipping small kisses into her neck. She supposed the cleaning could wait until after… and she'd have him cook as well.
