A/N: I don't own One Piece, but I do own Nero Lich.
"Let's get started!" said Moria, as he held up Luffy's shadow in Oz's freezer. Nami, Usopp and Chopper were still inside Bearsy.
"What the...this huge…a giant's corpse?! Even for a giant, that's enormous…" said Usopp, and Chopper whimpered.
"Don't say anything, Chopper! Try to be brave!" said Nami, comforting the reindeer.
Perona and Lich were standing next to each other, but Lich was looking strange…
The shadow was struggling in Moria's grip.
"Calm down, Strawhat Luffy's shadow! I'm your new master!" said Moria, and at these words, Lich suddenly clenched both of his fists.
"From now on you will be given a body and a voice, forget what it was like to have once been connected to a human. Submit to me and become a soldier!!"
"…..no." said a voice. Moria turned to see Lich staring at him with those demonic eyes of his. Perona gasped.
"Lich-kun!"
"What did you say, Lich?" asked Moria.
"I said no." replied Lich defiantly.
"What is the meaning of this?!" yelled Moria, dropping Luffy's shadow.
"It means no."
"Why are you doing this, Lich-sama?!" cried Absalom.
"You've always served Moria-sama proudly! What's gotten into you?" piped up Hogback.
"For too long you've been stealing the shadows of people who wanted to live on, free. They probably had dreams, a family, a lover. And look at yourself. You're depending on others to do your work for you. You're a degenerate, Moria."
"HOW DARE YOU DEFY ME?!"
Perona stared at the two with wide eyes. "Lich-kun…please, stop…."
Lich ignored her. "Let's see how tough you are when you've got no-one to hide behind."
He drew his odachi. "Let's do this, jackass."
Moria charged at Lich and he nimbly dodged, landing atop Oz's head.
"Shouldn't have given me Absalom's powers, Hogback." he said, as he raised a hand and blasted Moria out of the freezer.
Lich jumped out after him, the others following.
"Don't know what feelings have swayed you, Lich…." said Moria as he got to his feet.
"Yeah, well, what would you know about feelings?" retorted Lich.
Moria charged at his most prized subordinate but Lich dodged again, landing behind Moria and cutting right through him. The shadow-stealer cough up a lot of blood.
"RAAAAAGH!" roared Moria as he lashed out at Lich for a final strike, but it was too late: Lich had impaled him on one of his odachi.
"Ja ne." said Lich, closing his eyes as Moria died right there.
