Tina opens her eyes and looks around. Her head hurts. This room isn't hers. And she just had the strangest dream. She was Rachel, Mike was Joe, and it was pretty confusing but really great because Tina was a star.

It hits her suddenly. She's in a boy's room. She's in Mike's room. Tina glances around again for him, trying not to move because it makes her head ache. The bedroom door opens and there he is.

"Hey," he says, "I was just coming to check on you." He looks so concerned. So sorry. She wonders why.

"What happened?" she manages to ask. It's hard to think. Making her thoughts into words is like loading a really long video on YouTube. It takes way too much time.

Mike looks away from her - maybe because he thinks she won't see his disappointment? - Tina isn't sure. "You don't remember?" he asks.

"I had a…really strange dream…" she allows, in case that's what he's referring to.

Mike looks sadder than ever. "Tina, I just want you to know that I am so, so sorry."

She winces at his expression. Something really terrible must have happened. "Am I going to be okay?" she asks. "In time for Nationals? Mike, you have to tell me what happened!" Tina insists, growing more desperate with each passing second.

He takes her hand. "We were fighting," he admits. "While you were shopping for material. You'd just run into Blaine and Kurt and they saw you trip and fall. You hit your head pretty hard. Blaine called me and he and Kurt dropped you off here since your parents are working."

"My head hurts" Tina manages, feeling exhausted.

"You probably have a concussion. I got one in football last year. You'll feel crappy for a while, but you should be okay by tomorrow." Mike mutters, avoiding eye contact. He looks crushed.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" she finally manages.

"Because I've told you all this twice already…and because I hate that you fell because of me. You deserve to be recognized just as much as Rachel…"

Tina closes her eyes. She wishes she could have stayed in her dream where everything was okay. "I- I'm so confused," she manages in a tiny voice, biting her lip as an honest stutter crosses her lips.

Her fear seems to snap Mike out of his regret. "You're gonna be just fine. Okay? I promise," he says, kissing the knuckles of her hand. "Now, can I ask you some questions?"

Tina nods, but she's not sure at all. If she can't remember entire conversations, how is she going to know how to respond to whatever Mike comes up with to test her?

"What day is it?" he asks.

She closes her eyes, knowing she has a 50/50 shot at getting this right. Mike had just given her a clue by telling her she'd been shopping and Kurt and Blaine had been there, too. It had to be a weekend. So, Saturday, or Sunday?

"Saturday?" she guesses.

"Awesome. Okay. What songs are we doing at Nationals?" Mike quizzes.

Tina closes her eyes. This should be easy, yet she's drawing a blank.

"Can you name one song?" You don't have to name all of them," he says, his tone gentle.

"No, I can do it," Tina insists even though searching her brain literally hurts. "Um… Dashboard Light? Edge of Glory and…not Because You Love Me but the other one…" she lists, feeling frustrated.

"Awesome," he tells her, breaking into a smile. "That's the best you've done so far!"

"Okay…" Tina sighs. "Can we stop? And can you stay?" she asks, feeling small and unsure.

"Of course," Mike reassures. "You're gonna be just fine, Tina. Trust me. Everything's gonna be okay."

With that hope echoing in her head, Tina closes her eyes.

The End.
