Half a Cookie
She turned the key, but this wasn't her house, Anita had claimed she lived in a mansion in Willow Hill, but this was not Willow Hill, this was West Avenue! And this wasn't a mansion, this was an townhouse! I was confused, why would Anita lie about where she lived?
Lets start at the beginning, it all started on the first day of school,I was looking forward to it, new classmates, new teachers, maybe even some new friends! I was wearing a new vintage t-shirt with bright red jeans, I also had on a new backpack, I was on cloud nine.
The excitement didn't last, in fact, it fell as soon as I arrived at my locker, I saw Nobu(my best friend) talking to a girl I did NOT see her hanging out with before, which is unusual, because I knew all of her friends, and she knew most of mine; who was the girl? You probably guessed it, that girl was Anita.
I have to admit I thought Anita was pretty cool at first, she seemed funny AND modest about living in a mansion! (though I found out later that wasn't true.) She also loved Umibozu as much as I did, "She's new." Nobu claimed, was she? If she was, then why do I feel like I had seen her somewhere?" I decided I would investigate.
I followed her home, and as she went into the house, I tried to get a glimpse of the inside from where I was hiding (behind a bush), when suddenly, the window flew open, "You might as well come out Koizumi, and heres a tip, if your going to spy on someone, don't wear red." I stared at my ruby red jeans and blushed as I came out, Anita stared at me coolly, "Come on in." she said simply.
"Why did you lie?" I blurted as soon as I was in the house, Anita smirked, "Wow, we're not even sitting and already one question, impressive." I was speechless, "Sit down first," She said, "then ask me, think you can manage that?" I sat down,
"Good job, now ask me." I could not believe this girl!
"Why did you lie?" I asked again, she laughed,
"Now that's interesting, why do you think I did?"
"I asked you first!" I snapped,
"I lied because I wanted to."
"That's not an answer!"
"Yes it is, any reply to a question is certified to be an answer."
I glared at Crystal, her own eyes stared back at me, those eyes, they reminded me of someone...MY MOM! "Think you got it now?" she asked, smiling, "Koizumi, it's a pleasure to meet you, my name is Crystal, I'm your half sister."
