A/N: I was very moved near the end of The Return of the King (the book) and I was inspired to write a poem from Frodo's POV.

All you need is a friend
I don't know how I can move on
All of my hope is gone
In this world of shadow
There's only one who can show
Me the way back to the light
Who could give me back my sight
He has a determined light in his eyes
He never once did sigh
For himself, he feared to say good-bye,
To leave me
How did I get such a friend as he?
I would not have made it alone,
He has shown
All you need is a friend.
