Sterling ran to Dreadwing's pedes.

"Mr. Dreadwing?" He looked down and glared at the sparkling.

"What is it sparkling?"

"Where's my daddy? He said he would come back after he went on a mission with you." Dreadwing felt her voice tug at his spark, making him feel guilty. He knelt down and with his giant servo, he cupped her face.

"I am sorry."

"Why are you sorry Mr. Dreadwing?"

"Your sire...He's dead." She stared at him, bright blue energon tears welling in her optics.

"My daddy is dead?! But he said everything would be Ok!" She sobbed into Dreadwing leg. The big blue mech cringed but then he picked up the blue and red sparkling and held her to his chest.

-Flashback-

Sterling sat in Breakdown's arms as the large blue and grey mech grabbed their morning rations of energon.

"Daddy I'm bored."

"Why are you bored Sterling?" asked Breakdown with a smile.

"Because I'm hungry."

"If you'll wait a minute I'm almost done with your bottle." Breakdown closed the lid on the energon bottle and gave it to her. Sterling held it with her tiny servos and started drinking. Breakdown grabbed a cube for himself and then walked down the hall back to his and Knockout's quarters.

"Daddy where's mommy?"

"Working in the med-bay Sterling."

"Why?"

"Because he's the medic."

"Why is he the medic?"

"You ask too many questions Sterling." She smiled.

"Thank you." Breakdown shook his head.

::Breakdown hurry up and get down here. I have a mission for you.::

Sterling pouted.

"Don't pout Sterling. I'll be back later."

"Fine." Breakdown finished his energon cube and walked to the med-bay. Knockout was going through data-pads and he looked up.

"Hello you two."

"Hey K.O."

"Why are you pouting Sterling?"

"Daddy has to go on a mission." Sterling pouted more as she was placed in Knockout's arms.

"Don't worry Sterling everything will be ok. I'll be back soon and we can do something together all right?"

"All right daddy." Breakdown kissed her helm and kissed Knockout's cheek.

"Love you."

"I love you too Breakdown."

"Love you daddy!" Breakdown smiled as he walked out of the med-bay...

-present time-

Knockout ran through the Nemesis.

"STERLING!" he cried. He soon ran to the control room, where Sterling was being held by Dreadwing as she cried.

"Sterling..." He ran to the seeker mech and he held his daughter as she was placed in his arms by the larger mech. She cried into Knockout's chest.

"I'm sorry for your loss, Knockout." He turned swiftly around, without replying, and ran to the med-bay. Sterling was in recharge when he got there, with tears still falling from her optics and clinging to his chest armor. He sat at his desk and stroked Sterling's back struts as they both cried.

"I won't let anything happen to you.

I promise to Primus I won't...

I have a habit of writing sad stories when I'm upset or mad. I made this one after the episode that Breakdown died. Sterling is my OC who's parents are Breakdown and Knockout, Knockout being her carrier and Breakdown her sire.
