"Sparrowhawk, we have the module!" Maria shouted out through the comlink. Still hiding among the supply crates in the cargo bay, he muffled the sound of the comlink and focused inwardly to make himself invisible. Three soldiers in black armour paced back and forth across the bay, all holding bothan stunners, spoke quietly amongst themselves. "How long are we supposed to patrol this area? There's nothing here."
"Can't argue with you there but commander Wren told us to patrol this area so that is exactly what we are going to do. At least we can be happy it's quiet here."
Standing behind the crates as the soldiers passed by, Sparrowhawk couldnt help but allow himsel to smile quietly. They had no idea what was coming. Maria had completed her part of the mission, and had retrieved the data module. Now they just needed to get out of there, and they'd have to raise hell to do it.
Taking a deep breath, he stepped out from under his cover among the crates with a grin on his face. "Looking for someone?".
Turning around in surprise, they faced the lone force adapt and raised their weapons, aiming at his chest. "Looking for me?" he asked teasingly, sensing their surprise. "Where the he.."
"Now now, no need to get colorful", he interupted them. The squad leader gently pressed the trigger, only waiting for an excuse to shoot sparrowhawk. "Commander Wren would like to see you".
"Only him? I'm insulted!" a voice stated clearly from behind. Half the squad turned around to see a young woman in her early 20's walking into the cargo bay with her lightsaber in hand.
The lightsabers deep blue blade glowed gently in the dark, illuminating the glas blank cargo bay floor. "Who the..."
"..am i?" she quickly added with a smile. "I guess there were several things Wren forgot to tell you guys about us."
"Be nice to them. They are clueless enough as it is", sparrowhawk whispered through their link.
"You remember how our last encounter with the Sezzan army went. You might want to consider letting us go" she said suggestingly.
"You're not going anywhere. You will accompany us to the brig where you will be interrogated by Commander Wren. He is expecting you."
By the force...when will they ever learn?
Without further debate, Sparrowhawk and Maria both leapt forward, crossing each other in the air, striking swiftly upwards as they landed on the floor. The soldiers stumbled backwards and pieces of their weapons fell useless to the floor, leaving them armed with nothing but their side arms. A warning look from both Sparrowhawk and Maria convinced one of the soldiers to stay on the floor where he fell, and force pushed the others harshly into the wall.
"If you know what's good for you, stay!".
She turned around and began running toward the lift that would lead them to the bottom level of the cruiser. In the very last moment she threw herself sideways as a blaster shot, shot past her and with a swift movement from her arm she sent her lightsaber hurdling toward the squadron leader, falling limp to the ground as the blue blade pierced the black armor. With frustration she looked at the corpse, feeling him becoming one with the force. Sparrowhawk looked over his shoulder, keeping an eye on the others then ran towards her. Helping her up on her legs, they made their way to the elevator. Precious seconds past as they waited for the elevator doors to open, and take them to the bottom level. "C'mon" they muttered at the same time.
