This is pre-Reborn. Before Reborn ever came into Tsuna's life, the dangers of the Mafia followed Tsuna. One instance was the man in the sleek black car.
Tsuna sunk into the seat of the car as he watched his mother hesitantly drive the car out of town to visit some special place she's heard of. The 10 year old little boy looked out the window to the oncoming traffic. They were driving down the street with a sleek black car on the lane next to them. His mother was too preoccupied with the traffic to notice the man rolling down his windows.
"Ummm, Mama?" Tsuna turned to his mom. "C-Could we open the windows? It's a little too warm."
"Of course, Tsu-kun!" she responded cheerfully and rolled down all of the windows.
Loud honks and blares filled the car, but Tsuna ignored them to see what the person in the car was saying. His voice was slightly muggy and parts of the message were silence by honks every so often. All the little boy could make out was:
"Decimo… out… bombers… back… get out now… we'll hold them off… CEDEF…"
Tsuna felt like he could trust these people, but he looked back just incase. Sure enough, there were a couple of sleek black Maseratis right behind them. Tsuna squeaked and jumped in fear. Luckily, Nana didn't hear anything. He tried to conjure up a plan. Something in his brain pulled him to a street that seemed empty coming up.
"Ummm, Mama? I think there's a street that's pretty clear. Maybe we can take that way and get past the traffic," Tsuna skillfully lied to his mother, for her own good.
Nana smiled into the rear view mirror. " Ahhh, Tsu-kun's so smart! We'll take that way!"
The said person let out a relieved sigh and turned back to the man in the car. He pointed to a street up ahead without swinging his head out of the car. The man got the message and told the driver next to him. They hollered thank you and hefted up some guns.
'Hieeeeeeeee! Guns?' the boy internally screamed and leaped to the seat on the right side of the car. They were slowly nearing the street. They finally go to that street and was able to manage to arrive at the place Nana wanted to go. They returned home, but the street they were on was closed down due to 'a pipe explosion'. Tsuna shivered since he knew it wasn't a pipe explosion. in this mind, he wondered what the CEDEF was anyway. That is, until Reborn came around.
