He sat alone, looking out a window. He peered up at the sky, the light blue dubbed with patches of cottony white clouds. The sun, not to bright, fell upon the boy so lightly it made him look almost angelic. He sat, wanting, waiting for his love. Nothing more he ever wanted. His longing gaze reflected itself in his soft sea green eyes. His golden bangs dropped silently beside his pale face. He wept, wept for his love. Tears rolled down the soft, slightly blushed cheeks of the lamenting boy. A mere moment the tears stopped as he still watched the sky. A solitary white dove flew past. The dove reminded him of his longing, his waiting. The tears gently moved from his face down onto the windowsill. Why? He questioned himself. Why did things have to go wrong? Why couldn't he have done anything.to stop.to stop the pain? It swelled up in the bottom of his heart, a pain like no other, wrenching and writhing. His hands trembled in fear. He did not want to lose his most precious. He slowly lifted the shaky hands to his quivering mouth. He mumbled the name of his love, barely audible. He sat all alone; an hour or so had passed, his eyes red from crying, his voice hoarse from screaming, and his heart shredded with aches. He wished for life to change, life to go back how it was, happy, happy like the birds in the sky that he so desperately tried to be. He again began to feel his eyes swell up with tears.
The door slowly creaked open. A bruised and bandaged boy stood in the doorway. His heavy brunette bangs hung heavily in front of his face. A look of solace gleamed across his dark forest green eyes, as he looked upon the tired weeping boy. He wanted to run out to him and embrace the boy, but his injuries prevented him from doing so. Instead he admired the timid blonde; for all that he also went through. The pain he felt soon would all be over, in a matter of seconds. He glanced over the shivering boy once more before he called out to him. "Quatre.." He spoke with such comfort and faintness that the blonde did not hear him. "Quatre." He again called out.
"Tre." The sound flew in his pale ears. He thought a ghost called for him. "Quatre." The shadow called for him again. A burst of hope shot through his heart as he lifted himself from his window. He turned his head, as the tears continued their journey down his face. He sniffled once as he saw his love stand in the doorway. He ignored all the scars and bandages and leapt towards him. "Trowa!" His tears shone like crystals as he ran past. "Trowa!!" He stumbled, but quickly scrambled up. "TROWA!!!" He embraced the silent brunette and sobbed into his chest.
He looked down at the whimpering blonde, enjoying his love. He slowly placed his arm around the blonde's back and held him closer, tighter, saying I'll never leave again. The crying one in return wrapped his arms around his love's back and squeezed even tighter, as if to say I'm never going to let you leave again, never. They stood their, hugging, embracing, the little one crying, for a while, until the little one had enough courage to speak.
"I thought you left me." He sniffled.
"I told you I'd come back." He smiled kindly as he leaned over. He ran his hand gently through the soft blonde hair and kissed him on the forehead. "I promised."
