A very short story set pre-movie on a certain day in spring. Enjoy!

The sun dawned bright and right on time on a cool April morning, a Monday. Most of the inhabitants of Metro City remained in their beds, sleeping until the last possible minute before they had to drag themselves out of bed and face another work week. This wasn't true for a reporter named Roxanne Ritchie, as she'd taken this day off.

Megamind knew she had the day off, but thought he might continue his plan anyway. If, that is, Miss Ritchie wasn't off work for the reason he thought she might be.

The door slowly opened, creaking slightly, but Roxanne slept on. Megamind, followed by Minion, made his way into the bedroom.

"Do you think…?" The fish began softly.

"Shhhh…." Megamind chided, as the woman stirred ever so slightly in her sleep. "I really think we'll have to put the plot off, but I'll check, just to make sure."

The villain leaned over Roxanne and sniffed slightly, then straightened up. "Just as I sus-pac-ted. She absolutely reeks of chocolate."

"Well, what's the lesson we learn here?" Minion asked as his boss slouched out of the room, disappointed.

Megamind conceded the answer only once they were safely back in the invisible car. "Never, ever, plan something for the day after Easter. Roxanne will be in a candy coma."

:D Thanks for reading this, and happy belated Easter!
