Disclaimer: Andromeda and Characters belong to Gene Roddenberry. I only wished I owned Dylan.

Beka Valentine stared out at the landscape that was covered with snow. They had come to Tarn Vedera to celebrate the day the new CommonWealth was founded and while it was usually warm, a freak snowstorm had come.

But it made things extra beautiful and the councilmen had declared a recess because nobody wanted to be inside. Usually Beka didn't pay attention or appreciate the weather but these days she did.

Maybe it was because she was in love and loved in return, she had met Dylan almost thirteen years ago and recently he had proposed to her. Soon they would be married.

She never thought she would want commitment and in the past had run far away from it but she looked at the ring on her finger and knew she was ready.

She jumped as arms came around her waist, "easy it's just me."

Beka turned and lay her head on Dylan's chest, "that I never get tired of hearing?"

"You getting cold?" he asked.

"No I'm fine besides if I am it'll be an excuse to get your arms around me."

Dylan smiled down at her, "you've never needed an excuse for that."

They shared a tender kiss and simply stood in an embrace as they watched snowflakes fall.
