Jake stood outside of Degrassi Community School. He had dark hair and was wearing jeans and a black tee shirt. He sighed as he walked through the double doors. He looked around and saw many groups of people. He heard a voice behind him. He quickly turned around. "Umm.you new here?" the voice said. "Yeah, I am." Jake replied. "I'm Craig. Your name is.?" "Jake." He said. "Well, Jake. Welcome to Degrassi!" "Oh, yeah. It's great to be here!" Jake said with obvious sarcasm in his voice. "Sorry!" Craig said defensively. "It's ok, I've just been to so many schools this year." "Well, I'll show you around." Craig said. "Ok, great." Jake replied snowing no signs of sarcasm this time. "Marco, hey." Craig said to Marco. "Oh, hey, Craig." Marco replied. "Marco, meet Jake. He's new here." Craig said pointing to Jake. "Hey." Marco said smiling at Jake. "Hey." He replied. "The blonde girl over there is Paige and that's her boyfriend Spinner." Craig said pointing to the people he was talking about as he passed them. "Spinner?" Jake asked. "Yeah. His real name's Gavin, but we all call him Spin." said Craig. "Well, class should start any minute now." Marco said. "Ok." Jake and Craig both said. The bell rang just as the guys sat down in the M.I. Lab. "Ok, class. We have a new student with us today. Jake, would you like to tell us something about yourself?" Mr. Simpson asked. "Umm.ok. Hi, my name's Jake. I moved here from California and I've been to 7 different schools this year 'cause my dad's in the army and we constantly have to move." Jake said, a little annoyed. "OK, thanks, Jake. Well, we better get started with class." Mr. Simpson said. Jake sat down. He looked over at Ellie. She smiled at him. He returned the smile. The bell rang, signaling the end of class. "All right, everyone. Get out of here! Go to lunch." Mr. Simpson said opening the door. Sorry, this chapter cuts off.
