Now usually I'm not a country music lover, but I've always loved Trisha Yearwood's "She's in Love with the Boy". I don't really know why though.
I was studying with Danny when that song came on the radio. I immediatly turned the volume up and began to sing along as it started.
Katie's sittin' on the old front porch
Watchin' the chickens peck the ground
There ain't a whole lot goin' on tonight
In this one-horse town

In a beat-up Chevy truck
Her boyfriend Tommy, he's layin' on the horn
Splashin' through the mud and the muck
Before the song can continue Danny asks a question.
"Sam...Why do you like this song?"
As I think about it I sing to the next part of the song.
Her Daddy says he ain't worth a lick
When it comes to brains he got the short end of the stick
But Katie's young and man, she just don't care

Sam gets up and kisses him before replying
"Why yes Mr. Fenton. I believe I do."
