Telling Alice Off

"No!"

"Yes!"

"No!"

"Yes!"

"Absolutely not, Alice!" Edward almost screamed in her face. They had been arguing over the last ten minutes about Bella. Alice wanted to sign Bella up for What Not To Wear, even though Alice thought what they wore was atrocious. Edward pinched the bridge of his nose.

"But it could do her some good!" Alice protested.

"Alice, Bella isn't a doll you can play dress up with," Edward explained. "She doesn't like it when you force yourself on her. This may come as a shock to you, Alice, but not everyone likes fashion the way you do."

Bella sat on the couch and watched back and forth, neither of them would let her talk, though she tried. Alice turned to Bella looking hurt.

"Alice…" Edward growled, warning her not to pull a guilt trip on Bella. This is one thing Edward wouldn't back down on.

"Please Bella!" She was begging now, on her hands and knees begging to be allowed to humiliate Bella on national television.

"Alice, no." Bella said.

"Oh… well… um…" Alice was hesitant. Edward looked at Alice, fury was evident in his eyes. "I kinda already sent in a application for you."

"WHAT?" Bella screamed, jumping up. "I don't want to do this! I am NOT doing this! Alice, you cannot control what I wear, even if you don't like it! I don't like designer clothes! I like regular good old sweats and jeans!" Bella was furious, and Jasper wasn't even here to calm them down.

"But…" Alice's voice was small, hurtful. She had honestly seen Bella happy doing this. "I saw…"

"I don't care what you saw, Alice. Not this time." Bella snapped back, instantly regretting it but glad Jasper wasn't here to manipulate her emotions. "I am NOT doing this!" She marched past a speechless Alice and shocked Edward, and right to her truck.

"Alice…" Edward said, his voice deadly calm. Alice looked up at him, "If I were you, I'd run." Edward went after her causing her to run out of the house and into the forest with Edward behind her. "You'd better stop running Alice!"

"No!"

"Yes!"

"No!" Alice said, still running as she went to call Jasper so he could save her.
