Konnichiwa minna-san! BlueSkyBlue here presenting to you a one shot for Kuroko no Basuke. Now before anyone starts complaining that I haven't updated the latest chapter of Sacred Heart yet, I'm very sorry! I kinda got a bit of a writer's block but I have just finished the chapter and will be updating it around later to tomorrow. And please do mind this kinda depressing oneshot, I am feeling quite down for the past few days that I even handed in a depressing composition to my English teacher. I am betting she'll be sending me for counseling tomorrow... Anyway, I should better get started, people won't like long author's notes, don't they?
They left, leaving behind the beam that gave them light. They have bloomed with their own talents, becoming people useful in the future. People admire them, praise them.
But the beam is forgotten.
He still remembers the time when they needed him. When the blue wants a hand in basketball or when the yellow needs someone to take out his stress. When the purple needs an eating companion, the green needs someone who reads or when the red needs someone to play shogi with. The beam clings on to his memories, believing that someday, someday, they will need him again.
Years passed. Each of them had already earned their own fame, making them a household name throughout the while world. The blue is the president of the Interpol, succeeding in every case handed to him. The yellow is a world renowned model, and also owns many airports in the world. The green became a doctor, majoring in every field while the purple owns factories that makes the best snacks ever. The red is a prime minister, governing his country well.
The beam visited them, hoping to be of use, but they ignored him, cast him aside and even made hurtful comments.
"The only one who can beat me is me."
"I don't need you anymore."
"You are useless, a mere old prototype, ready to be discarded at any time."
"Who are you? Do I even know you?"
"Go away, scum."
The beam cringed, the glass starting to shatter while his light of hope starts to flicker. Yet, they continued with their mean comments.
"Someone as high position as I could not have ever mixed with you common dirt."
"I forgot how to receive your passes."
"What now? Your brother ran away from home? Must have gotten tired of you, anyone would."
And the beam broke, the light had died and it lay in dark, forgotten.
Finished! Now that was short isn't is? That's because it was just a random idea I got when I'm depressed. I would appreciate some reviews and do tell me if there's any mistakes so I can improve on my writing. Till then, ja~~
Yours,
BlueSkyBlue,
a.k.a. Otonashi Hayuka
