This is a short story that I had to write for my English conversation class and I decided to upload it! It's really short but I hope you like it anyway…

David walked down the hallways with his notebook in one hand and his phone in the other. It was the last period on a Thursday in May, and he had nothing to do, so he made his way to the choir room, where he could just relax and sing a little bit. David loved to sing and dance, he started when he was in the 1st grade and it was his passion. Just when he wanted to open the door to the choir room he was pushed to the ground by his former best friend Jake, the quarterback of the football team and the biggest bully in the whole school.
"What are you doing here, fag? Got nothing to do?" Jake asked David who was still lying on the ground, holding his wrist because he fell on it.
Yes, David was gay and when he told Jake 3 years ago he just stopped talking to him and ignored him. That was until the bullying started. And it got worse from verbal assaults to pushing and throwing slushies into his face. Just as David wanted to answer he was punched in the stomach and a bag was pulled over his head. Another punch in the stomach made him lose his consciousness, and he didn't wake up until a few minutes later. When the bag was taken from his head, all he could see was the brightness of the sun. There were birds tweeting and David could hear Jake and his friends chuckling.
"Wake up homo!" When David's eyes adjusted to the sunlight he saw a red short dress as he looked down his body. He tried to move and run away but he was handcuffed to a lamppost. His face turned beet red and he looked away. He was moments away from closing his eyes again.
"These clothes fit your personality better! Now everyone will see it!"
And with that the three boys ran away, but not without a picture that they posted on facebook. David was so embarrassed and just wanted to disappear. He wanted to call someone, but they took his phone and there he was, helpless and defeated. He had to ask a stranger walking by if he could use his phone, while he was looked at mockingly. After a while David's mom's car pulled up and his mother helped him to get free. She didn't ask him what happened, they just got into the car and drove home. But she wasn't surprised when David wanted to stay home the following day.
