Disclaimer: I do not own Naurto or have any association with it, this is merely a work of fiction based on the show/manga.

Sakura had assumed for the longest time that Sasuke and her were simply meant to be, the signs were all there. He tolerated her just slightly more than other girls in their class and then to top if off she had been place in his team. It seemed such a silly, childish dream looking back at it but then again she was merely a child playing ninja back then.

She looked towards Sasuke who had begun training with Naruto. To an outsider it might look like a battle to the death, she was lucky enough to know them better than most. At best they were her brothers and best friends and at worse they were her extremely stubborn idiots.

Looking up she huffed, brushing a strand of hair away from her face before murmuring,

"Are you going to continue sulking in that tree Sensei?"

Sakura barely had to blink before he had settled next to her,

"You wound this old man. I don't sulk, I skulk," Kakashi said his eyes curved into smiles.

"Mmm so you say, first to three this time?"

A quick nod was all the confirmation she need before they both leapped away from each other, settling into basic taijutsu stances. Kakashi was the first to make a move, lashing out with his fist as Sakura moved just in time to reflect the hit with her forearm before retaliating with a leg sweep. Kakashi leaped over it before back flipping away, his hand already in a flurry of movements before opening his mouth. Torrents of water poured down, the floor turning water water logged and flooded.

She clenched her fist, she wouldn't be able to use her enhanced strength on the ground but that didn't mean there wasn't other things to use. Rushing over to the tree line, she waited with baited breath for a moment. Kakashi looked right toward her position and began to move, she had to do it now. Gripping the base of the tree, she wrenched it from the ground with a tug before launching it like a spear behind her, then grabbing a kunai towards Kakashi.

Just as expected the clone disappeared and she head a faint inhale behind her, a smirk etched it's way onto her face. She yelled, " You better not of been reading that damn book or next time I'm turning it to dust."

Several hours later her and her boys were laid out on the grass, filth and exhausted. Sasuke's stomach let out a gurgle and Sakura had to stiffle a laugh while Naruto snorted into his hand. Kakashi clapped his hands,

"Let's go it my adorable little students," he said, motioning them to follow.

"Neh, Kaka-Sensei we haven't been your students in years, " Naruto huffed with a pout on his face, lifting himself off the ground while groaning

"As if that would ever stop him," Sasuke muttered with a dead pan expression, wincing slightly as he moved.

"Let's just go before he leaves us with a huge bill, my wallet can't take it this week," Sakura sighed, scowling at the ground before getting up.

As they hobbled their way to Ichiraku, Sakura couldn't help the smile that spilled onto her face. This was family she thought to herself, this was home.

A.N: Sorry for how short this introduction chapter is! This is the first thing I've written in a while, there is much more to come but I thought I'd set the scene, the romance will be some what of a a slow burn and not as the same time. My written style is very amateur and I really apologise for any grammatical mistakes, especially with dialogue as I struggle with it the most.
