p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Helvetica;"span style="font-size: 12pt;" I sit alone on the bench next to the airport in the cold rain waiting for my ride to come. 'Come on mom hurry up.' I think impatiently. I finally see a car drive up but it's not my moms, it's my best-friends Johanna and Trina. "Come on get in the car it's freezing" I grab my stuff and hurry into the back. "Gosh Griffen I don't know how you stand this weather." I hear Trina call from the front. I laugh and reply "I don't know maybe magic," I say sarcastically, "so were are you guys taking me?" "We are going to my place, we invited a couple friends for your welcome home party." Johanna answers. I've spent the last six months in Sweden at a special music school so the only time I ever got to see my friends was over Skype. "Wow thanks guys." I lay back and close my eyes and I guess I fell asleep because when I woke up I am on Johanna's living room couch. "Surprise!" I hear a lot of people yell and everyone is hugging me and telling me how much they miss me. After everyone is off I can finally see who is there, my friends other than Trina and Johanna are Cy, Lucy, Scar, Meg, Quinn, Sarah, Kay, Ethan, Mary, and my boyfriend Nate. I get up quickly and give everyone a hug. "Wow this is so awesome I missed you all so much!" We all sit down and talk about what it was like in Sweden and talk about what I missed back here in San Diego. After that we all sit down on the couch and carpet and watch The Avengers. I lean my head against Nate's shoulder and quickly fall asleep. I don't know how long it's been but I wake up to the sound of people screaming and someone carrying me. Once my vision goes into focus I see Nate is the one carrying me, "what the heck is going on?" I quickly ask him. "I don't know but we have to leave now, come on everyone." I see every one behind us but then realize one of us is missing. "Wait where's Lucy? Guys what's going on?" "She uh... Well we can talk about it later but right now we need to run!" I hear Cy say. We all jam into a car and Quinn starts driving. I sit next to Scar and Nate. "Ok seriously guys what's going on?" I ask after a very long silence. "I don't know exactly what but I'm guessing it's some virus gone out of control... Lucy got bitten..." Sarah explains. "What? Bitten by what? I'm really confused, what are you talking about" I exclaim. "Just look outside the window." Johanna says. I peer out and see dark figures crawling, walking, moving across the freeway. The only features I see of the things are pale grey skin and what looks like bite marks all over them. And suddenly it hits me, there is only one creature I'm familiar with that looks and acts like that. Zombies. /span/p
