I'm sorry if anyone hates me because I didn't update my other stories. As an apology, I now give this pointless, cute one-shot. Because I know you all love me. =}
This is set sometime after the Gorillaz album, and a bit before the Demon Days album.

Noodle twirled her pencil between her fingers, studying the blank sheet of paper before her as she sat at the table in Kong Studios' kitchen. She was distracted. She couldn't even concentrate on writing new songs. She was in love.
It was as simple as that. Noodle was infatuated with and attracted to the Gorillaz' singer, 2D. While Noodle was a practical, intelligent human being, even she could be overcome by the all-consuming force known as love. She thought about 2D daily.
I mean, he was only twelve years older than she was. They could work it out.
Noodle began to doodle on the paper, sighing. Lovestruck. In fact, she was so distracted, she neglected to observe 2D, who slowly and rather tiredly entered the kitchen.
2D glanced at Noodle, whose long purple fringe hid her eyes (as usual). He didn't say anything, but instead went to the cabinet, where he'd left his headache pills the day before. Upon finding them, he swung the cabinet closed, and, as it clattered shut, Noodle cried out and shuffled her papers. When 2D turned around, she was sitting on her hands and was blushing slightly.
"Er?" was all 2D said, unscrewing the top of his pill bottle.
"Nothing," Noodle mumbled."
"But I din't ask anyfing?" 2D pointed out. He could feel Noodle's sharp green eyes on him, even if he couldn't see them.
"You were going to."
2D paused. "That's right, innit." He popped a couple of pills in his mouth, swallowing them dry. "You're psychic, then?"
"No, 2D," Noodle replied. "You can learn to read people like that."
"Could you teach me how t' do that?"
"It is not something you can teach another person. It is something you must learn."
"Really?" 2D jammed the bottle into his pocket. "Can you teach me how t' learn it, then?"
"Er…" Noodle hesitated. "You must know how to read body language. The signs. Say you are talking to someone you are trying to impress. Watch the way their lips move as they begin to form their next sentence. Observe their facial expression. What are they doing with their hands? Are they fidgeting? Are they constantly tossing their hair? What sort of mood do they appear to be in? The smallest thing is important. It takes great focus to read them all swiftly."
Truthfully, Noodle had just made every ounce of that up. But it sounded intelligent- even more so to someone like 2D- so it was fine. "You understand, yes?"
"Yes. No. Sort of?"
"… Practice makes perfect, 2D. You will learn."
