The moonlight shone inside the cabin through the portholes on either side of the bed. On it Jotaro Kujo was fast asleep after a day full of studying marine life while on a boat. Tomorrow he would collect a few more samples early in the morning before setting off to shore where he would do further analysis in a lab. For now he was asleep and presumably alone.

Jotaro was suddenly startled out of a dream and instinctively did not open his eyes. He instead listened to the room hearing the reassuring sound of the waves lapping against the sides of the boat. But he was certain, however, that there was something else in the room.

Beyond the foot of his bed floating in mid-air was a faint figure. He was blond, with strange marks on his cheeks and a distinct headband. Using a pipe he was blowing bubbles watching as they shined in the moonlight before bursting. He had done this many times before, just deciding to float there peacefully watching the sleeping figure of his best friend's grandson. It was his duty after all. The ghost was alone sitting vigil until another equally as faint figure appeared beside him.

"Is he feeling bad about his family again?" Caesar had met this red haired Japanese man before. His name was Noriaki Kakyoin; he had died during the crusade against a vampire named Dio. When they met sometime previously Caesar was sad to learn that such a fate had befallen another close comrade of the Joestars.

"Ah, I suppose. You're always more in tune with him than I am, Kakyoin," replied back Caesar with a smile. Kakyoin politely smiled back and looked at Jotaro's sleeping form.

"Eventually he'll understand fully it's for their own good. Dio might be gone but his presence still lingers," curtly put Kakyoin. Caesar drifted blowing a few bubbles before continuing the conversation.

"It is sad, though. Joseph got to spend ample amounts of time with his family compared to Jotaro."

"It's best not to compare Jotaro with Mr. Joestar. It'll bring too much pain into this than there needs to be." Caesar glanced over at Kakyoin noticing the concern on his face. It reminded him of when he had first started haunting Joseph before Jotaro.

"You really do care about him, Kakyoin." Kakyoin remained silent for the moment floating in the darkness of the cabin. The green uniform he wore made no sound as it was being ruffled by an unseen wind.

"I'm just thinking about what's best."

Unbeknownst to both ghosts Jotaro had heard their entire conversation. He forced himself to fall asleep before having to hear anymore.
