*I have gotten this idea from the movie, "I can only Imagine". Since the movie was about the origin of one of the most popular songs, I figured I'd do a story about a movie based on the story of Coco.

Remember Me, Based on a True Story

Searchlights waved through the sky back and forth. However, they were not searching for anything. They were signaling the start of a red carpet debut.

At the Chinese Theater in Hollywood, a new movie was premiering. However, instead of the usual Asian atmosphere, there was more of a latino architecture added to the famous building. That was because the production was mostly made up of Latino actors, and workers.

Overhanging the entrance of the theater was the title of the movie debuting. "Remember Me Based on a True Story." On the sign was a beautiful white guitar with skeleton designs decorated the based and a skull with a gold tooth on the handle. It was surrounded by dancing marigold petals and a young woman facing the audience as if looking off into the distance. It was the leading lady of a film.

Below, everyone was walking the red carpet to see the long-awaited movie. All sorts of stars and producers, and artists that were involved in the film. Sprinkled all over the carpet were marigold petals like in the banner above.

Coming along in a long limo was the entire Rivera Family from Santa Cecilia. It had been almost ten years since the truth of their forefather Hector Rivera was unveiled and things have been for the better. Miguel had graduated at the top of his class at the top music school in Mexico and had become a top performer and songwriter, becoming even more popular than De la Cruz. But he never forgot that his family was more important.

On Miguel's arm was a young woman of partial latino descend. Milagro, or Mila, was the one who wrote the screenplay for the movie. She was so inspired by the story about Coco and Hector and especially the true origins of the song Remember me, she strived to write a story to share with the world. She went to Santa Cecilia and met the Riveras for the background of the story and inspiration. She especially got close to Miguel, who had written original songs for the film. In fact, the movie was premiering on the anniversary of the death of their beloved Mama Coco as a kind of memorial service. In fact, the movie is based on her story.

Inside the theater, tables were set up to serve the quests while the film was being screened for the first time since the production was finished. There was a special table for Riveras with the best view of the movie. And Miguel and Mila were side by side in the center.

Then the lights dimmed and the director came up and started his speech. "Hola and Hello ladies and gentlemen." he said into the microphone he was holding, "It has been three and a half years since we have started production of this heartwarming film. The story of a father and daughter connected by a song throughout years and death has touched the hearts of millions throughout the world. Since the origin of this heartfelt came to light, it has become a national song; a way for people to cope with change and death, as well as a song for funerals and especially as a carol to end Dia de Los Muertos to send the spirits of the dead to return to the Land where they came. For now, let's have a moment of silence for Soroco Rivera who passed away this very night ten years ago at the age of hundred years."

After everyone lowered their heads, there was silence for a hundred seconds for every year of the late Coco's life. The Riveras were especially quiet. "Thank you. Now without further ado, Remember Me!" the director announced. The audience applause as the long-awaited film had finally started.
